What you’ll be doing...

Our customers have high expectations for our Enterprise VoIP provisioning platforms - speed, responsiveness and constant availability. That’s where you come in. As an Enterprise VoIP provisioning leader, you will guide team members to design and implement optimal solutions to complex problems and meet critical business needs. Your optimization and performance skills will help peering IT teams and our vendors drive better Enterprise VoIP architecture and solutions.

  • Driving modernization of multiple legacy Enterprise VoIP applications written in end of life software stackon to new cloud based platform VoIP 2.0.
  • Leading reverse engineering, design, development, testing & production cutover of functionality with zero impact to business.
  • Crafting delivery roadmap & deliverables for Vendors Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Handling budget & vendor management including but not limited to working with sourcing, legal and Vendor partners to get the Statement of work (SOW) approved and executed.
  • Providing a timely response to production issues both service impacting & non service impacting VoIP customer issues in 24x7 highly available environment.
  • Demonstrating a detail oriented and strong organizational skills by maintaining SLAs and KPI dashboards in line with organizational objectives.
  • Guiding and directing the team - employees and contractors to take the project from initiation all the way to production and post-production.
  • Providing weekly progress report of project deliverables to executives.
  • Coordinating the white boarding sessions, design & development with onshore & offshore team of Verizon employees and vendor resources.
  • Providing accurate time reporting, budget forecasting and ensuring ongoing development, maintenance and security of all VoIP applications.
  • Anticipating problems and leading developers to innovate solution.

People count on you to have strong domain experience in Enterprise VoIP application tools, digital delivery methods, and all aspects of production.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining operations support systems (OSS) using Java/J2EE, C++, Workflow tools, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX/Solaris.
  • Experience supporting commercial, 7x24, highly available data systems.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle including Agile Methodologies and DevSecOps processes.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Eight or more years of overall experience in developing and maintaining operations support systems (OSS) using Java/J2EE, C++, Workflow tools, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX/Solaris.
  • Five or more year of hands on experience driving VoIP application development in a senior lead role.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Project management proficiency and proven ability to implement and support multiple high priority tasks.
  • Ability to build good relationships with business partners, peering IT development, QA and support teams.
  • Ability to influence peers without having a direct authority.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting information to senior leadership and non-technical team.
  • Ability to co-ordinate between onshore and global offsite teams with experience in generating daily/weekly/monthly metrics of offshore SDLC to demonstrate quality/efficiency of offshore delivery.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency and pride.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • PMP & Agile certification.
  • Java certification.
  • AWS certification.
