What you’ll be doing...

You will lead the exploration on what our people need to learn to be even better and oversee all delivery and facilitation functions. Your programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture. You will be leading a team to deliver learning solutions that are engaging, fun and most importantly build those capabilities needed to enable our people to create the future.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to determine learning needs and the best delivery approach.
  • Leading and coaching your team to deliver best-in-class learning solutions.
  • Managing team workload, setting priorities, allocating resources, and overcoming challenges to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and continuously improving our solutions.
  • Providing regular updates to leadership on progress and results achieved.
  • Providing coaching and delivery inspections of all team members on consistent basis.

By leading business learning solutions, facilitator live training, face-to-face and virtual, you will be overseeing the imparting of critical skills and knowledge to help our people become even better. You’ll be managing delivery schedules and budgets, ensuring learning solutions are facilitated as they were designed – to be engaging, fun and most importantly building those capabilities needed to enable our people to create the future.

What we’re looking for...

You enjoy working as a trusted advisor with business leaders and determining the best ways for your team to deliver learning to meet training needs. You’re focused on assessing the impact learning solutions have on the business and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. Your ability to support others and inspire their creativity to produce great learning solutions for our employees drives and motivates you.

  • Facilitating programs across our broad learning and training curriculum including network, technical, soft skills, leadership, and safety.
  • Supporting Verizon's Global Network & Technology organization that includes technicians, engineers, and center operations.
  • Supporting new training requests, new audiences, new topics and “train-the-trainer” certifications and supporting peer development.
  • Connecting key learning to the business priorities and desired outcomes.
  • Facilitating and using a variety of learning methodologies, media, and materials.
  • Evaluating training effectiveness and reporting outcomes to leadership.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Budget creation and management experience.
  • Project management experience; focus on resource schedules.
  • Manage internal facilitator resources.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
  • Ability to coach and have difficult conversations.
  • Ability to evaluate facilitation effectiveness.
  • Experience creating custom learning solutions using alternative modalities and technology.
  • Built trusting relationships and influenced at senior levels.

  • A degree.
  • Motivated and inspired a team to create strong learning outcomes.
  • Balanced competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Natural desire to learn the technical content of the Sr Trainers.
  • Experience managing a diverse team (local and remote).
  • Skilled in supporting facilitation as opposed to instruction.
  • Skilled in various facilitation modalities (F2F, vILT).
  • Experience with ADDIE or SAM learning models.
