What you’ll be doing...

To lead and take ownership of large complex client programs in such a way that each underlying project is accomplished to the complete satisfaction of the client, on schedule, quality assured and within budget. To ensure that client programs are planned, coordinated and communicated in a professional manner, keeping client stakeholders regularly informed of progress, and ensuring that all stakeholder expectations are managed and that client commitments are consistently met.

Pre-Sales Engagement and Project Planning

  • Engage in Sales opportunities well in advance of contract signature to ensure thorough capture of client requirements and hold a project kick-off as early as possible.
  • Prepare and deliver client program plan to ensure accurate expectations are set and advise clients of any critical project milestones.
  • Provide and arrange support across regions for global programs.

Program Management

  • Provide professional end-to-end Program Management for Clients.
  • Apply and assure end-to-end Verizon Project Methodology and ensure high quality results.
  • Lead the virtual project team (as the overall primary point of contact) throughout a Client Program lifecycle and ensure that all key milestones are met.
  • Ensure that project delivery activities are coordinated between the Client, Sales account team, and internal groups (e.g. Project Management, Service Delivery, Billing, Service Management).
  • Ensure that first invoices for each project are being checked and that the billing start-date in accordance with Verizon policy.
  • Effectively manage program budget.
  • Ensure that a clean hand-over to the Client and Service Management team at the close of each project is facilitated.

Client Communication and Stakeholder Management

  • Capture client business priorities, critical information and agree program plan.
  • Ensure that service activations are scheduled and facilitated with the client.
  • Coordinate, host and attend virtual team meetings with clients, account teams, and internal groups.
  • Proactively provide the Client, Sales Rep(s) and Service Manager with frequent program progress reports, highlighting Risks, Actions, Issues and/or Dependencies (written and verbal as appropriate).
  • Provide program dashboard reports to key internal and client stakeholders.

Manage Risks, Actions, Issues & Dependencies

  • Assess, record and mitigate risks / dependencies against program on-time delivery, quality and/or budget.
  • Lead Verizon cross functional teams to take preventative (and corrective) action on any program related issues and escalate as required to ensure client requirements and due dates are met.

General, Support and Administration

  • Ensure that programs are documented to a high standard, communicated and agreed with the client according to the Verizon Project Management standards and the contract.
  • Ensure that satisfaction surveys are initiated at the completion of each project.
  • Provide Program Management expertise to the Account team and Client to ensure the delivery of a professional Project Management Service throughout the Program Delivery.
  • Ensure that accurate system records and reports are maintained.
  • Lead, Coach and/or mentor Project Managers.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong program management skills and experience.
  • Excellent client communications and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong ability to assure project methodology and governance.
  • Excellent knowledge of complex network/security and systems integration solutions.
  • Very strong leadership and facilitation skills.
