What you’ll be doing...

Join IT team to develop OSS systems that are part of Verizon’s next generation networks. The system will provide all functions related to data processing and providing intelligence to fault data from equipment (physical and virtual) within Verizon’s networks. Advanced capabilities such as data patterning, recognition, trending, filtering, correlating, etc will be applied to massive amounts of network data in a real-time environment to foster capabilities such as network healing and management of Verizon’s networks.

  • Engaged as a cloud implementation subject matter expert who has deep knowledge and experience with cloud computing infrastructure, application development platforms, tools and techniques.
  • Working closely with the network architects and engineering, network operations and other IT teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Work with onshore and offshore develop teams and provide technical leadership.
  • Perform application development activities involving design, coding and testing.
  • Work with QA team and production support team to ensure the system operating at premium condition.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Full Stack Developer with experience in developing and deploying applications on AWS cloud.
  • Experience with the following tool set: Maven, GIT, NETBEAN/ECLIPSE, Jenkins, JIRA, DevOps tools.
  • Experience with non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra and/or MongoDB.
  • Experience with messaging such as Kafka, Pulsar, JMS, SQS and/or SNS.
  • Experience with practicing agile development methodology.

Even better if you have:

  • Master degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong with the following technologies: Java, Python, Micro services, RESTFUL API, XML/JSON, relational databases and SQL query language.
  • Eight or more years of experience playing a lead role in developing a large scale enterprise system, with a proven record to solving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, a team player.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certifications.
  • Experience with developing Network Fault Management Systems.
  • Experience in Spark, Swagger and other open source Java Frameworks.
  • Experience in Graph Databases such as Neo4J, Amazon Neptune.
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
  • Experience with Software defined network, Open Flow and Open Daylight.
  • Experience of interfacing with switches and routers using SNMP, TL1 and NETCONF.
