What you’ll be doing...


  • Project manage Security Capital projects
    • Perform site surveys and security assessments
    • Identify vulnerabilities and recommendations to mitigate them
    • Develop project scope of work for budgetary approval and procurement
    • Conduct bid walks and level set proposals
    • Manage vendors vendor performance
    • Provide financial performance measurements
  • Develop strategies to leverage security technology to offset recurring operating costs.
  • Lead internal and external project teams to ensure minimum level of standard security protection.
  • Mitigate known physical security deficiencies & vulnerabilities to ensure maximum facility protection.
  • Create system enhancements of existing processes to ensure standardization.
  • Identify, develop and implement process improvements to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct and report comprehensive physical security assessments to minimize losses and risk exposure.

What we’re looking for...


You'll need to have:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and physical security work experience required.
  • 6+ years of physical security work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in physical security system technologies (i.e. electronic access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection systems, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with Verizon’s multiple project and procurement systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and matters is essential.
  • Extremely strong project management skills with proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong ability to assess and respond to internal and external customer demands.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Highly developed physical security reasoning skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to make independent decisions and the judgment to know when to seek guidance.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and process high volumes of work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast paced environment, under stressful conditions, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel, as necessary.
