What you’ll be doing...

As a critical member of the Corporate Services Group (CSG) in the Global Technology Services (GTS) team, you will be working with a group of highly talented professionals who are at the cusp of digital transformation. As a leader in Bill to Cash (B2C) space, you will have responsibility for the technology strategy and direction of all Revenue & Cost Assurance applications and processes across Verizon Consumer and Business groups with revenues of One hundred and thirty billion dollars in 2018. You will be directly responsible for enabling annual Revenue Assurance benefits in excess of three hundred million dollars annually across Wireless, Wireline, Enterprise & Wholesale service lines.

You will play a pivotal role in defining the North Star architecture for a unified revenue assurance platform that will enable Next Gen features such as AI ML, Blockchain & RPA. You will also be managing the productivity and performance of up to three senior managers responsible for all aspects of RA application delivery including security posture and SOX compliance. You will be responsible for prioritizing business requests and allocating the right resources for both new projects and day to day operations. You will also have oversight of application development IT managed services vendor partnership, and development of client-facing relationships. You will manage a team of professionals responsible for building collaboration not only with B2C business partners, but across other CIO technology teams, stakeholder groups in all lines of business, and with external vendor teams.

You and your team will:

  • Define the roadmap for a unified, cost effective RA platform of the future
  • Continuously monitor revenue trends and metrics to proactively alert business of potential issues.
  • Implement an efficient cost assurance framework to effectively track spend and improve margins
  • Identify opportunities for improving line of sight with external vendors by implementing a Blockchain solution.
  • Ensure high availability and performance levels for production application instances
  • Develop trustful working relationships with RA business partners
  • Partner closely with the business to develop business cases for technology transformation
  • Leverage next gen technology to transform RA from traditional batch audits to real time self-healing processes.
  • Implement DevOps best practices to ensure a smooth and reliable application delivery pipeline
  • Demonstrate & Promote a Security by Design culture
  • Manage the ecosystem and pinpoint external change by partnering with other GTS teams.
  • Keep abreast of latest industry trends in RA and related technologies
  • Provide periodic update on strategic RA initiatives to GTS and Business leadership team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in transforming traditional application stacks to modern cloud based micro services architecture.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of billing and bill to cash applications, experience in Revenue Assurance.
  • Experience in RDBMS such as Oracle, PostGreSQL etc.
  • Strong experience in applying big data techniques at web scale. Experience in Hadoop.
  • Blockchain development and implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of AI ML models and techniques. Implementation experience.
  • Experience of applying RPA to improve efficiency of revenue assurance audits
  • Experience in using Revenue Assurance tools such as ROC RA, WeDo etc.
  • Experience with both custom application software development and packaged software implementations.
  • Supervisory experience, including management of full time employees and contractors.
  • Experience developing content for leadership and communicating program risks and dependencies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Experience in Process definition and Governance models.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Knowledge and application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban) and scaled Agile framework.
  • Ability to guide and coach a large and diverse globally distributed team to remain focused on value delivery and execute in advanced agile practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate across all levels of management.
