What you’ll be doing...

This position is within the Verizon Consumer Marketing Operations organization on the Local Marketing Team - concentrating on Fios Local Marketing & the multifamily (apartment) segment. Our goal is to drive consumer acquisition & retention of our industry-leading Fios internet, TV & phone services. This role is specifically in the Fios Local Marketing strategy team with a core focus on driving objectives of the Fios business unit specific to core DMAs & the multifamily/apartment category. Our team develops and executes marketing strategies to drive performance at a hyper-local level.

As our Fios local marketing strategist you will focus on developing strategic plans & identifying consumer/market insights to drive strong business results and continual innovation for the Fios business & the Verizon multifamily segment for home & mobility. You will analyze performance & category trends to formulate new approaches & ways to innovate to engage consumers to “win” at a local & property level. You will develop business plans for new local marketing initiatives, secure buy-in from key stakeholders & work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful go-to-market.

  • Build comprehensive strategic plans and targeting recommendations in support of core Fios marketing initiatives.
  • Assess effectiveness of all Fios local marketing activities and proactively provide recommendations to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities to improve results.
  • Analyze segment data, identify trends and formulate insights to continually optimize our local marketing efforts.
  • Work directly with business intelligence systems to extract targeting data & identify trends and to deliver market sizing, target profiling, program performance, & ROI projections using internal data warehouse.
  • Develop new Fios local offer/value propositions.
  • Close collaboration with consumer marketing peers, brand and digital marketing teams.
  • Acquire and share deep knowledge key DMAs & the multifamily segment thru scouring internal and external research resources - find category disruptors & continually recommend new ways to innovate.
  • Partner with 5G Home marketing and sales teams to adapt & leverage Fios local marketing best practices.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in marketing, advertising, multifamily segment, regional marketing or related field.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Three or more years of experience with MS Excel and Tableau. Bonus to have experience with Oracle Business Intelligence, SQL, R, SAS, Teradata SQL.
  • Three or more years of experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience in strategy development, planning & project management.
  • Experience managing multiple high priority initiatives at the same time.
  • Experience formulating and communicating business strategy to drive marketing innovation.
  • Experience working with business intelligence, reporting & analysis software.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong internal cross functional relationships; openness to collaboration and feedback.
  • Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible.
  • Experience as a Planner / Senior Planner, Digital Strategist.
  • Experience writing project briefs and developing strategic frameworks.
  • Conceptual thinker capabilities with demonstrated curiosity in researching & identifying emerging trends.
  • Ability to deliver smart, forward-thinking POVs to drive marketing innovation.
  • Ability to take action and implement in a timely manner.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to manage projects end-to-end.
  • Experience working with/for an advertising agency.
  • Experience evaluating primary and secondary research findings to identify actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel.
