What you’ll be doing...

You’ll gather data from internal and external focus groups, internal stakeholders and customers through surveys, interviews and workshops to help our leadership teams make the best data-driven decisions. Through collaborating with stakeholders, you will identify what data is needed to support the business and deliver quantitative and qualitative analyses. The data you gather will be turned into strategic and tactical recommendations that will drive business decisions and actions.

  • Understanding business challenges and identifying what questions need to be answered.
  • Designing research to answer the business questions.
  • Analyzing data, uncovering insights, and making recommendations.
  • Providing market and industry perspectives to complement the research, insights, and inform recommendations.
  • Managing research projects to be on time, on budget, and provide the needed learning.

As the Market Insights Manager, you will also play the central role of:

  • Advising teams about all the Market data required to get the project from ideation through successful Commercial Committee approval.
  • Developing a research plan that identifies the type of research ( e.g. Industry reports, customer surveys, conjoint analysis, focus groups, etc.) and the expected key outputs from each.
  • Consolidating the research needs from all teams to ensure the organization maximizes the value of each research investment and more importantly to ensure consistency and validity of output data across projects/teams.
  • Providing guidance to the team on how to interpret the results of the market research and offer the context for developing the business case and the proposals for the leadership (VP, Commercial Committee, etc.)
  • Providing experience on all historical research done by all the business units in Verizon and guidance to teams on past pitfalls with projects (data inconsistencies, incomplete research, etc.) that failed the approval process.
  • Presenting regularly to the VP and the Directors on the topic of Consumer behavior shifts and opportunities for Verizon based on independent industry research and outputs of recent research projects completed by the organization.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Marketing analytics, market research and consumer insights experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Managed complex marketing research/consumer insights projects with internal and external partners.
  • Designed, implemented, and interpreted studies and analysis of syndicated and custom data as well as focus groups, interviews, and surveys.
  • Delivered custom presentations, made recommendations, and advised senior leaders on critical business decisions.
  • Created and delivered compelling tailored presentations.
  • Experience with using PowerPoint in data visualization tools for reporting, like Tableau or Qlik.
