What you’ll be doing...

As our channel account manager you will provides leadership and direction for new and existing resellers to ensure they meet defined business objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing reseller recruitment strategies and ongoing channel account management for each partner. This will include identifying, qualifying and engaging partner prospects. This entails presenting the Verizon channel business proposition and Verizon Partner Program to align with the partner on mutual business opportunities. Securing internal approval for partners and negotiating contracts. Managing new partners through onboarding and early sales transactions. Building and maintaining executive level relationship with the partner and continuing to grow the relationship and revenue performance. Engaging and enabling partners in expanding their Verizon portfolio to support additional product portfolios, as required. Managing internal sales reporting as well as key recruitment KPIs.

  • Develop and implement effective reseller recruitment strategy. Work closely with existing dormant resellers to reactivate. Identify potential reseller needs and interests and effectively communicate benefits and opportunities available to meet needs and interests. Meet reseller recruitment quota as set by the associate director of channel development.
  • Partner with channel sales managers to prioritize partners based on coverage needs and to provide support to reactivated and new resellers. Develop and execute business plans, expense budgeting and marketing plans, where appropriate. Follow and support new resellers through first product sale and implementation. Manage ongoing partner relationship.
  • Analyze reseller capacity throughout the country to pinpoint activities to match recruitment or development efforts. Perform analysis of reseller mix by product specialty and develop plan to ensure recruitment efforts target correct mix of resellers. Analyze sales and industry trends and make appropriate recommendations to ensure long-range planning needs are met.
  • Maintain a reliable communication mechanism with sales and product management departments to ensure efforts are in line with objectives.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years of partner recruitment experience.
  • Three or more years of reseller partner management experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Three or more years of experience in security sales or security channel.
  • Experience recruiting and enabling partners on technical solutions and/or systems integration environments. Ideally, strategic solutions.
  • Previously met challenging sales goals that include new business development.
  • Managed multiple projects and deals under tight timelines.
  • Cultivated strong trusting partner relationships at executive levels.
  • Business acumen, problem solving/analysis, results driven, strategic thinking capabilities.
