What you’ll be doing...

Responsibilities:

  • The Tier 1 Support Engineer will be responsible for first-line customer interaction, basic technical support and troubleshooting, customer support services. Job functions include but are not limited to: Monitoring of firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection devices, proxy, etc. Basic knowledge on Linux operating system & good knowledge on Networking & OSI model.
  • You build a decent knowledge of security products and technologies.
  • Familiarity with various office-environments and office-related software packages (Email, ticketing systems, internal and client-facing communication, etc.)
  • Efficiently triage basic technical issues and route to appropriate departments, providing all necessary and appropriate information related to the issue.
  • Effective client communication skills to maintain client contact on issues through to completion.
  • Good analytical skills to review client-submitted information and documentation related to questions on network scanning and discovered vulnerabilities.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Security devices monitoring experience.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, highly adaptable to change.
  • Ticket handling to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Incident management experience.
  • Troubleshooting of availability and health alerts pertaining to security devices.
  • Documentation of Procedures.
  • Coordinate with Senior Analysts / Duty Manager for High Priority incidents.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree or Master’s degree.
  • Two or more years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent written and spoken customer service skills, strong communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
  • Basic technical knowledge of computer and network systems (web browsers, operating systems, networking functions, user accounts, etc.), Ability to adhere to procedural documentation.
