You will be joining Verizon Up, a next level award winning rewards program, providing wireless customers with unforgettable experiences and amazing perks with some of the hottest brands in travel, sports, culinary, fitness, music and entertainment. The objective of Verizon Up is to:

  • Build loyalty and emotional connections to the Verizon brand.
  • Drive business outcomes (ex. reduce churn).
  • Position Verizon for industry disruption.

The Verizon Up team leads the day to day strategy, execution, roadmap, marketing, operations, offer strategy, analytics, reporting, insights, channel engagement and customer experience for the program. We drive momentum internally and externally to drive results, reduce churn, change brand perception, build brand advocacy, and ultimately create a reason for customers to stay with Verizon.

The Manager of Business Insights and Marketing Strategy will play a key role in loyalty strategy, delivery of KPI’s, and related customer intelligence as we evolve the loyalty program framework to further enhance our industry leadership. This is a unique opportunity to work within the Verizon Consumer organization and partner closely with a variety of cross functional teams including VBM, Consumer Marketing Strategy and Analytics, IT, Finance and Accounting, Care and external agencies. We are looking for a strong performer who has a mature reporting and critical thinking skillset, ability to collaborate closely with our cross functional teams and a passion to blend technical expertise with end-user simplicity.

Specifically, you will report to the Verizon Up Head of Offer Strategy, Analytics and Reporting and will support overall program growth by being the thought leader of how we analyze and look at our subscribers both enrolled and not enrolled in Verizon Up. This role will leverage analytical modeling to deliver and present insights/deep dives in areas including but not limited to customer profiling, engagement patterns and personalization. This will require deep dive work into reward activity as well as member behavior in and out of the Verizon app

You will be responsible for managing, reporting and providing insights for overall program KPI’s, member behavior, and much more. As the ideal candidate, you will support overall program growth (awareness, enrollments, engagement) through analytics modeling to drive insights/deep dives for all program KPIs and goals. The role is defining how to bring extensive thought leadership into personalizing our rewards program to maximize value for the company.

Examples of ownership for the role include but are not limited to:

  • Extensive deep dives and analysis into member behavior defining clear areas for improved , reward presentation and retention strategies.
  • Close collaboration and partnership with the Company insights team to discover pockets of opportunity to increase engagement and overall retention through Verizon Up.
  • Thought leadership on methodology for better understanding customer behavior and profile.
  • Data driven analysis for long term offer planning.
  • Analyzing data to develop patterns and trends.

What we’re looking for...

You are a team member with a strong growth mindset who wants to marry your technical and data science expertise with your curious marketing mindset. You enjoy working with large amounts of data to gain relevant insights that will drive key decisions for the future of the Verizon Up program. You will effectively communicate findings to a range of internal and external audiences (technical and non-technical).

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more yearsof relevant experience working with relational databases and SQL reporting.
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Twoor more years of relevant experience working with data science language such as Python or R.
  • Experience and comfort with data analysis, statistics, and forecasting, and financial/accounting precepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office skills – Excel and PowerPoint.

Even better if you have:

  • Masters degree in statistics, computer science or engineering related field.
  • Experience with loyalty programs.
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Leadership skills and driving for results through deep data driven analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel.
