What you’ll be doing...

As a Security Operations Consultant, you’ll be responsible for activities associated with the security of Verizon’s property, personnel, and information. You will establish, maintain, and enforce security regulations and procedures. You will monitor or audit the organization to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. Investigating security issues will also be involved. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing administration and direct support for the regional Building Access Control Center.
  • Designing, supporting, maintaining, and managing the Electronic Access Control System, and digital closed-circuit television (CCTV) for Verizon Wireless Retail Stores.
  • Coordinating contracted field maintenance personnel that maintain and repair the access control system and CCTV.
  • Processing vendor billing.
  • Coordinating the new installation of equipment utilizing contracted engineering and design personnel and contracted integrators.
  • Providing periodic status reports and advice to management.
  • Supporting physical security improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinating continuing efforts to upgrade the existing access control system and CCTV.
  • Identifying and documenting capital funding requirements.
  • Supporting Retail Business requirements which may including work during the evening hours.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with marketing projects and programs.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or management.
  • Experience managing projects and products in the telecommunications, wireless, or related industry.
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience.
  • The ability to lead cross-functional groups through multiple prioritized assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment with aggressive deadlines.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of packaging development and/or design for consumer devices.
  • The ability to solve complex problems creatively.
  • A strong detail orientation.
  • The ability to develop and foster professional relationships at multiple levels of an organization.
  • The ability to consider technical and business needs and information in a marketing context.
  • The ability to work well independently and in ambiguous, dynamic contexts.
