What you’ll be doing...

It's crucial that we keep our retail outlets stocked with posters, flyers, and other merchandising materials, so that the store has all the latest news and info for customers. That’s where you come in. As a Senior Analyst for Supply Chain Logistics Services, you’ll monitor inventory and manage all processes related to getting the stores what they need when they need it. Being the one closest to the process, we’ll look to you for ways to make our quality, accuracy, and efficiency even better.

This position will be within the Global Supply Chain Systems team at Verizon supporting the Reverse Wireless Operations. This position is responsible for developing and supporting SAP reverse activities and distribution processes by identifying, valuating and prioritizing supply chain solution innovations and improvements, as well as ensuring their timely execution. You will also be responsible for the business and systems support for key supply chain systems, including the linkage between multiple ordering (POS Systems), inventory management, and third party warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Anticipating and forecasting merchandising material needs.
  • Planning and overseeing warehouse processes, workflow, and activities.
  • Monitoring current merchandising material inventory levels and usage.
  • Managing distribution, reorders, receiving requirements, returns, and transit issues.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert of SAP reverse operations management to effectively link supply chain business strategy to IT and provide technical and solution support to business stakeholders.
  • Partnering with supply chain managers and business analysts who provide business requirements and business intelligence for various supply chain initiatives.
  • Partnering with Supply Chain IT as well as a variety of stakeholder groups across VZ including (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Market Inventory, Reverse Operations).
  • Leading, managing, designing, and conceptualizing Global Supply Chain systems projects.
  • Leading project team members (but not having direct reports).
  • Managing one-to-three strategic projects simultaneously with responsibilities for end-to-end deliverables.
  • Partnering with IT on process innovations which will evolve current project prioritization processes and implementing supply chain information architecture and agile methodology.
  • Acting as a change champion to foster high-quality culture throughout the organization and driving measurement business process improvements.
  • Completing regular strategic assessments of Verizon’s end-to-end supply chain operational, inventory management and analytical tools to identify opportunities, disconnects, and gaps.
  • Interpreting, testing preparation and execution and implementation oversight.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • A Master’s degree.
  • Knowledge with SAP and working with Third Party Logitsics (3PL) teams
  • Warehouse, distribution, fulfillment center, or supply chain experience.
  • Familiarity with in-store merchandising materials.
  • A desire to ensure business operations run smoothly and optimally.
  • The ability to solve complex problems creatively in high-pressure situations while retaining professional composure.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with others across the organization.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to influence and encourage others to support projects over and above their BAU tasks.
