What you’ll be doing...

Responsibilities associated with the Lead Project Manager position include:

  • Supporting the Verizon Credo through adherence to company policies, processes, and practices.
  • Providing lead project management support or tower lead support for medium-to-large complex projects.
  • Facilitating team meetings to include tracking and managing action items to meet client deliverables as well as distributing regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Building strong communication channels with client and internal departments (e.g., Sales, Solutions, and Service) with the ability to provide custom reporting, monthly dashboards, schedule integration, and metrics/SPI management.
  • Developing project plans that include resource, time, and budget estimates for all project phases and milestones for internal and external parties.
  • Providing support to solve a wide range of complex issues/problems.
  • Providing general governance for medium-to-large projects or programs.
  • Ensuring customer expectations are achieved through standardized metrics (e.g., ROI, product quality, functionality, timely delivery).
  • Coordinating the transition of programs from development to implementation.
  • Implementing recommendations that aid in the successful completion of projects within a product or functional area.
  • Achieving objectives related to specific program tasks, projects, or initiatives.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Four or more years of proven project management experience with proven track record and experience with deploying and delivering complex solutions.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Skill in managing suppliers.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication.
  • Enterprise client experience.
  • Financial business acumen.
  • Broad Verizon product experience.
  • Proven leadership ability.
  • The ability to manage and negotiate with required internal and external organizations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Clarity.
  • ITIL V3 Certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Proficiency in customer enablement tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
