What you’ll be doing...

The successful candidate will be working at our Dublin office, in a hands-on capacity and immediate contact with application development teams of the Platform group responsible for backend solutions. Emphasis of the role is on continuous delivery and "total automation".


  • Working closely with a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, QA Automation, Operations and business stakeholders to ensure smooth deployments of software updates.
  • Pro-actively working with architecture, operations, continuous delivery teams to design, plan and deliver infrastructure necessary to build and deploy software from Dublin office.
  • Pro-actively working with New Zealand’s release team to take over production release deployments and create autonomy for Dublin team.
  • Build lower environments in AWS and collaborate with New Zealand colleagues on shared usage
  • Pro-actively working with the team to improve the process of building and deploying solutions across all test and production environments.
  • Developing and maintaining reusable automation scripts and components with variety of build and deployment automation tools, including but not limited to: git implementations (e.g. Bitbucket), build runners (e.g. Bamboo or Jenkins), deployment automation (e.g. Octopus) and AWS IaC (infrastructure as a code) scripts.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have…

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a Build/Release Engineer/ CI/CD in an agile development environment.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, bash, Python).
  • Experience deploying Microservices in projects using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Experience with any of the following build and deployment automation platforms: TeamCity, , Bamboo, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, Kubernetes.
  • Experience of deploying in AWS Amazon Services (CodeDeploy, ECS, Docker containers, CloudFormation, Lambda).
  • Experience using Git, Gitflow (branching model).
  • Experience of deploying .NET Core, .NET Framework and Node.js applications and components (Windows Services, APIs).
  • Holistic approach to the application development and strong owner attitude of the functionality provided to the customers.

Even better if you have…

  • A degree in computer science/engineering or relevant.
  • Experience with large enterprise scale solutions.
  • Experience with Blue/Green deployments.
  • Experience in automating database deployments, database versioning and source control.
  • Experience or good knowledge of .Net Framework and C#.
  • Development and/or DBA experience with MS SQL Server.
