What you’ll be doing...

Looking for an experienced GUI software engineer/developer to work on user interfaces for leading edge fraud detection, analytics, and Cyber Security and Case Management systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing web-based clients as well as Java clients. Tasks will include enhancing current product offerings as well as new development. Responsibilities will include all aspects of agile development from clarifying user stories to design, coding and testing.

Tasks will include:

  • Develop front-end Web GUI for the application with an object-oriented design approach.
  • Maintain/enhance existing Java client
  • Design, develop, test and integrate software in an agile, test-driven development environment.
  • Use collaboration tools (WIKI, IRC, Bugzilla, etc.) to design and document solutions.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field.
  • Seven or more years of technical experience (software design and development) experience in the following areas:
    • Front-end, GUI experience using JavaScript, jQuery, JSP, CSS, JSON, Angular JS and similar technologies in Unix (Linux, Solaris) and Tomcat environments.
    • Web services (using JSON or XML), UI/UX, Web presentation (CSS), JavaScript, and Java.
    • Experience interfacing the UI with database management systems, especially via PostgreSQL procedures and dynamic SQL.
    • Comfortable with Perl.
    • Service-oriented architecture and web application/services development.
    • Experience working and developing in a UNIX/Linux environment.
  • High motivation to produce correct results quickly; ability to follow existing standards and processes.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both formally and informally.
  • Capability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work individually with minimal direction and as a team player on a larger development team.
  • General knowledge of overall system architecture concepts including server database configurations, internet communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with general security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signatures, etc.
  • Familiarity with Object-oriented design and development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Human Factors Engineering concepts as it related to GUI development. UI/UX concepts.
  • Solid grasp of agile methods, such as test driven development, source code management, continuous integration.
  • Experience developing GUI code from user stories, as well as from more traditional requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of accessibility development and testing.
  • Near real time transaction processing.
  • Distributed application design.
  • Knowledge of Flash.
  • Willingness to travel.
