What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Analyst of Network Assurance - Reference Data Operations is responsible for the analysis, creation, implementation and maintenance of reference data in the SurePay platforms (Prepay, UC, RTR and AGS), as well as the corresponding price plans and features required for provisioning new activations to the platforms for both retail and wholesale customers.

The Senior Analyst - Reference Data Operations is responsible for the daily management of reference data. Support will encompass many facets within the role, including, but not limited to:

  • Work diligently to identify and mitigate customer experience, billing, network degradation, fraud, legal and regulatory control gaps, minimize business impact, and drive flawless product launches using a risk based approach.
  • Serve as a team lead in applying changes within the PRDMS system to apply prepaid devices to billing plans, customer profiles and other types of device related reference data functional and network compatibility behaviors. This will include providing project updates, participating in design of requirements, and implementation of changes within the system(s).
  • Managing new reference data requests of varied complexity and scope -- including HQ and Reseller marketing initiatives which implement pricing, feature and promotion changes in the SurePay platforms (Prepay, UC, RTR AGS) as well as design, documentation, load and audit functions.
  • Be able to conduct positive testing and regression testing of new reference data requests and projects, including various device types and operating system as endpoints to our network, and trace the record flow through each network element, monitoring billing, network behavior and both device and overall functionality.
  • Source-to-target reference data mapping, including design, documentation, load and audit in order to support system and customer rating conversions.
  • Development and maintenance of business support and process documentation.
  • For projects, up to and including those of the most complex scope, analysis of the system, process and organizational impact(s) of change requests. Quantification of potential or actual dollar impacts, ensuring key stakeholders are aware of any implications as they make recommendations based on this analysis.
  • Support of IT and Network initiatives that impact prepay and real-time usage monitoring and/or alerting by providing ad hoc analytical, operational or technical support to others.
  • Participates in and occasionally leads cross-functional and/or external vendor teams to drive complex issues to resolution.
  • Ensures that all processes are in compliance with SOX-related procedures and provides reporting as requested to validate the corresponding SOX control procedure.
  • Protects proprietary and confidential information.
  • Improves the customer experience and advocates for our shareholders by personifying the Verizon credo.
  • Participates in and occasionally leads cross-functional and/or external vendor teams to drive complex issues to resolution.
  • Ensures that all processes are in compliance with SOX-related procedures and provides reporting as requested to validate the corresponding SOX control procedure.
  • Protects proprietary and confidential information.
  • Improves the customer experience and advocates for our shareholders by personifying the Verizon credo.
  • Be able to troubleshoot network and customer impacting issues through the network and across SurePay platforms.

  • Continually broadens and strengthens knowledge of technology, tools and systems.
  • Participates in cross-functional best practice discussions and identifies opportunities to incorporate process changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stays abreast of new system enhancements by regularly meeting and training with Verizon Network teams and Nokia. Actively seeks the most optimal approach to reference data implementation.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree or Master’s degree in Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of wireless network technologies like CDMA, GSM and LTE.
  • Two or more years of knowledge of wireless pricing reference data models.
  • Two or more years of experience working with web and networking protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, Telnet, FRP, SMTP, SSL, TLS, NTP, SOAP, JSON or XML.
  • Three or more years in wireless industry.
  • Verizon Wireless Revenue Assurance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SurePay rating and record flows.
  • Strong attention to detail, Creativity and flexibility in managing simultaneous projects and issues.
  • Ability to anticipate issues based on analysis and experience.
  • Team-oriented, proactively notifies others of direct/indirect issues that may impact their processes.
  • Ability to learn for technological trends and enabling the integration of latest advances into the day-to-day lives of our customers.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Ability to understand the technical aspects of the design and functions of billing systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability of assimilating new information and ability to adapt to constant high-velocity change, sometimes within an unstructured environment.
  • Ability to perform with limited to no supervision
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the work.
