What you’ll be doing...

The Business Transformation Data Analytics group delivers value to Verizon through business intelligence reporting and analytics, driving strategic insights related to Network Transformation and One Fiber projects. Support numerous Verizon teams responsible for all project related areas by developing dynamic reporting and advising optimal deployment based on data analytics. The team is responsible for processing and performing statistical analysis of data to discover how data can be used to drive business decisions, solve business problems and achieve desired business outcomes.

Collaborate with various teams to gather, store and process data for determining valuable insights

  • Design and create data reports using reporting tools.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to the team for implementing best practices and standards for dynamic reporting
  • Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling using business analytical tools
  • Design, develop, and implement data visualization dashboards utilizing Tableau that provide real-time visibility into performance
  • Develop powerful presentations and present to key stakeholders executives your actionable insights and recommendations
  • Develop ETL’s and SQL to support reporting

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Knowledge of R and Python.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience ETL development
  • Experience with Tableau or relevant data analytics and presentation software.
  • Analytical and data modeling experience.
  • Advanced understanding of databases
  • Familiar with Verizon’s IT department and systems
  • Geospatial Analytics experience
  • An advanced degree/certificate related to business intelligence, statistics, programming, or other related technical discipline.
  • Experience creating and automating processes that encompass the complete cycle: data pull, modeling, analysis, report generation.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively to translate business objectives into meaningful actions.
  • Experience with both volume and detail to create high-quality, concise, timely results.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality deliverables with minimal oversight.
  • Effective organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and short timelines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn about multi-channel operations.
