What you’ll be doing...

  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Collections of open accounts via phone and email correspondence
  • Notate accounts with all communications regarding collections efforts, update contact and address information as needed
  • Persistent and timely follow up on all communications attempts
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineering, leasing agents, accounts receivables and other department
  • Communicate and follow up with internal Verizon departments to aid in obtaining supporting documentation, billing explanations and resolution of customer billing disputes
  • Process pre and post billing adjustments, bill downloads, manual invoices, refunds and vendor payments
  • Conduct investigations on payments, customer queries and address verification for accounts
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the SPB department with adherence to department SLAs for all assigned responsibilities and tasks
  • Alert management to any possible insolvent accounts and recommend account adjustments or write offs

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Customer contact experience.
  • Collections experience
  • Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive in resolving problems.
  • Ability to use sound judgment when making independent decisions.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and follow-up skills.
  • Team oriented individual who interacts and supports peers.
  • Analytical skills and detail oriented.
  • Organized, ability to prioritize tasks and have a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
