What you’ll be doing...

The Consultant Affirmative Action/EEO position is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s Affirmative Action Program including, but not limited to, annual plan development, conducting periodic internal-audits, and managing OFCCP audits. Furthermore, the position serves as a SME in AA/EEO/HR Compliance which involves filing applicable city and state AA certifications, handling ad hoc requests for proposals, evaluating AA/EEO contract clauses, supporting the compliance poster program, and assisting with all other related matters, as necessary. The person in this role should have 1) strong analytical and data interpretation skills; 2) the ability to understand and communicate analyses; and 3) maintain knowledge of EEO and AA laws, regulations, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assist with AAP implementation in accordance with government regulations which includes:
    • Drafting/revising plan narratives;
    • Extracting and analyzing personnel data from different HR systems;
    • Conducting job group, utilization, impact ratio, and other analyses required to determine the action oriented programs
    • Assisting in coordinating Company action-oriented programs;
    • Auditing outreach partnerships evaluations; and
    • Conducting internal audits of the Company AAPs
  • Manage compliance evaluations conducted by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) in a timely manner and work with counsel, as needed
  • Submit documentation required for AA certification with municipal, state, and federal agencies
  • Respond to ad hoc requests, such as requests for proposals, state, local, and municipal compliance reports, and EEO/AA contract clause evaluations
  • Assist in generating EEO1, Vets 4212, FCC 395, and other required reports
  • Collaborate with the poster vendor to support the compliance poster program across all Company locations
  • Team up internally and across other departments to analyze large data sets to provide meaningful analysis and recommendations for process improvements and business solutions to support EEO/AA/HR Compliance
  • Engage in professional development, including, for example, reviewing EEO/AA law-related newsletters or participating in webinars, trade group meetings, or other continuing education opportunities
  • May be required to travel Domestic U.S.
  • Handle multiple deadline driven priorities across different projects

    What we’re looking for...

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
    • Four or more years of relevant (AA/EEO) work experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Consulting skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
    • Demonstrated influence skills via relationships, information, and data
    • The ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels
    • Familiarity using VZCareers (PeopleSoft) and Cognos Reporting
    • Experience with Affirmative Action software
    • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (including vlookup and pivot tables)
    • Experience with Affirmative Action Plan development, OFCCP audits, and other government reporting
    • Experience in recruiting or HR generalist/business partner function
