What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Technology Consumer Group is looking for a highly motivated, solution oriented, and creatively strategic individual to help enrich our employee engagement and drive multiple aspects of our Verizon 2.0 transformation. In this role, you will own the chief of staff / executive organization functions for the GTS Consumer Group organization. This includes owning the creation, development, and execution of all executive updates, meetings, and reviews within the GTS Consumer Group. This position requires working collaboratively across all of GTS Consumer Group and multiple Business Units to design and execute an optimized executive / strategic communication process as well as lead multiple teams through initiatives of varying complexity that will influence decision making and drive change in our culture. The incumbent will be able to effectively describe and promote through visual and written communication, the organization’ strategy and key messaging targeted to employees, executives, leaders, and other partners within VCG as well as external partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and manage program plans for GTS Consumer Group transformation initiatives, including design, analytical assessment and execution, ensuring business objectives are effectively and successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
  • Lead as a change agent through all elements of employee engagement and strategic communications, recommend best vehicles for communication management including consultative workshops, reference materials and partner engagement. Establish global GTS Consumer communications cadence for both inbound and external communications that reflect GTS Consumer vision and branding.
  • Create, develop, and collect executive presentations/updates for all leadership meetings and events, provide strategic recommendation to Senior Leaders on key business decisions, identify opportunities based on feedback and develop plans to improve executive meetings and events.
  • Drive the organization’s objective of creating an exceptional employee experience. Manage schedule of employee communications for prioritization that will ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communications.
  • Lead the execution and follow up of action items across the senior leadership team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related discipline.
  • Skillful in communicating with and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders, employees, potential /existing customers, competitors, and business partners
  • Ability to embrace change, work in dynamic, fast paced iterative environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of general business practices and organizational framework
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Work Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience to communicate effectively with executives (written and oral)
  • Critical, creative design thinking and strong program management skills
  • Ability to think outside of the box on how to engage employees
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills that allows ability to navigate data in order to create strategic action plans and targeted communications
  • Strong sense of urgency and can adapt to constantly shifting priorities
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Graphic design experience
  • Social media campaign experience for executive leaders or organizations
  • Experience as advisor initiating ideas that influence strategy, engagement, and a collaborative culture.
