What you’ll be doing...

The ServiceNow Product Owner is responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders to define and prioritize user stories in the Team Backlog so the solution effectively addresses program priorities while maintaining technical integrity. This individual will work with engineering on sequencing of key technical enablers and support to ensure customer satisfaction. Business savviness is important as the ServiceNow Product Owner. This position reports to the Sr Manager, Product Management & Process Engineering in the Service Management Office.

This individual is responsible for the product owner activities in the Agile Scrum delivery for all new project activities and existing application CSI (continual service improvement) related to their assigned products. As the product owner, you will be responsible for the ongoing review, analysis, and decisions regarding product enhancements (backlog grooming). You will prioritize features by ranking them against strategic goals and initiatives. You will also be responsible for defining requirements for each feature and the desired end user experience. You will work closely with engineering on the technical specifications. In addition, you will be responsible for defining what a shippable product (MVP) is.

The ServiceNow Product Owner participates in the evaluation of the requests for enhancements for assigned applications on the ServiceNow platform.

The ServiceNow Product Owner participates in the external ServiceNow community to share best practices, key learnings and collaborate on solutions at local User Group forums.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • Three or more years of Business Analyst/Product Owner experience.
  • Three or more years of a background in delivery of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Good team, organizational planning skills, sound judgment, work with a high sense of urgency, attention to detail and strong time management.
