What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Marketing Academy is a learning and development Center of Excellence designed to develop and grow world-class marketing talent with the 21st century skills that will help Verizon stay competitive and drive business growth. This role owns the execution of the integrated marketing plan for the Marketing Academy; ensures the right messages are delivered at the right time to those who consume our learning experiences, to their immediate managers, and to the leaders that fund the Marketing Academy. This role also tracks and monitors the marketing academy budget, creates requisitions and purchase orders, and sees that invoices are submitted and paid on time.
In addition, this role owns logistics for training courses and measuring / analyzing performance of courses.


Finally, this position designs and implements methods to create a learning culture; these methods should include but will not be limited to developing and growing communities of
practice.

  • Owns activation of Marketing Academy communication; from messages intended to generate demand for specific learning experiences to scorecard reporting.
  • Owns overall measurement system - course completions, reach, reported ratings, Net Promoter Score, Retention and application of concepts, etc.
  • Analyzes results of completed training, and proposes changes to existing curriculum -tweaks, revamps, eliminations - based on attendance, ratings, customer verbatims, cost, relevance and applicability of content.
  • Manages Inventory of technical equipment, and proactively ensures that technical equipment needed for the execution of courses are working correctly - phones, iPads, VR headsets, ear phones, and laptops
  • Manages money flow; creation of requisitions and PO’s, invoice tracking from submission to payment, and budget tracking.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of and practical marketing experience, or has developed training and development programs for the Marketing discipline.
  • Knowledge of work process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting assessments to ensure output is optimal and the customer experience is flawless.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Ability to operate with minimal guidance within a set of strategic choices.
  • Strong G-Suite skills - slides, sheets, and doc.
  • An affinity for technology - comfortable handling hardware - iPads, VR headsets, etc -and upgrading software.
  • Experience in an operations role.
