The Finance Transformation Manager will work cross functionally with several teams to execute on a wide variety of strategic and transformative projects aimed at achieving the strategic and financial objectives of Finance and preparing the business for the future. The manager may monitor program progress and develop a status meeting cadence across the different programs and functions, build and manage the integrated roadmap and track program wide benefits. Manage risks and issues and develop organization - wide communications to key stakeholders. This manager will need to work independently to drive cross functional organizations improvements and change. This role will also require executive level project management skills including PowerPoint and Excel. Finance Transformation Governance Manager will work both individually on small projects or with others in a larger project team structures to deliver on the results. In addition the FTGM may be asked to drive business transformation efforts, craft operational strategy, develop new revenue-generating initiatives. These projects will be conceived at the highest levels of the organization and, as such, may have the visibility at that level.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques.
  • Drive projects and teams that span multiple finance areas that will require executive stakeholders, management and status presentations.
  • Work with the Director of Governance to provide effective leadership for the initiatives under analysis and execution.
  • Comfortable presenting, and discussing, initiatives to all management levels, including C-level executives.
  • Awareness of global markets and the ability to work with stakeholders in multiple countries around the globe.
  • Desire to think outside-the-box and recommend radical solutions that could drive effectiveness and efficiency for Finance areas.
  • Analyze various drivers impacting key metrics and outcomes and provide a fact-based recommendations for new initiatives to the senior management.
  • Facilitate team meetings and cross-functional workshops.
  • Conduct analyses to prove or disprove hypothesis driving the project execution.
  • Proactively anticipate and work towards mitigating risks to project execution or stakeholder engagement.
  • Support others by providing coaching on program governance and methodologies.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, technical discipline or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project management experience

Even better if you have:

  • MBA and/or experience of working in a tier-1 management consulting organization.
  • PMP Certification
  • Five or more years of total work experience, including some in telecom or related industries.
  • Experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to create presentations using Google suite and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
  • Experience of performance and trusted professional credibility.
  • Experienced team leader with facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.
  • Comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Understanding of financial systems, accounting systems and principles.
