Verizon Consumer FP&A Commercial Finance Team

Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. The Business Unit facing positions offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while growing your FP&A leadership and interpersonal skills. You are considered a business partner and your contributions will make a difference. You’ll become involved in, but not limited to, pricing decisions and new initiatives to develop new products and services. You can have an impact on new business growth opportunities through development of business case scenarios.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with various departments including Business Transformation, Customer Service, Distribution, Finance Operations, IT, Marketing, and Supply Chain to provide timely and accurate financial, analytical, and tracking support.
  • Tracking projects and developing reporting models that drive transformational changes to the business.
  • Partner with FP&A to integrate these transformational opportunities into the budget and outlook/forecast.
  • Development of executive presentations highlighting Business Transformation efforts for the WOC, Budget Decks, Ops Reviews, & other senior leadership reviews.
  • Drive the enhancement of our weekly & monthly reporting process.
  • Continue to guide development of tracking tool "Shibumi", to ensure all requirements are met for initiative tracking. Represent Consumer in the Shibumi Governance Council.
  • Partner with Customer Service to develop financial models, and corresponding assumptions used to evaluate the profitability and return on investment.
  • Design, develop and implement methods and strategies to continually improve processes.
  • Present and communicate to all levels of the business.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
  • A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
  • Proficiency in Essbase and an advanced understanding of corporate financial reporting & analysis.
  • Adegree of analytical capability with theability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
  • Strong strategic skills, with theability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations.
  • Understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
  • Experience leading large and complex team projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
