What you’ll be doing...

We are improving efficiency and enhancing service levels for our business customers. You’ll be managing strategic projects that will ultimately drive exceptional customer satisfaction for our business customers. You’ll bring together cross-functional teams across geographic regions to work together to implement programs to make us deliver even better solutions and service to our customers. This position will take end-to-end ownership of, and develop approaches to improve, current state of customer-touch processes to create an overall improvement in customer experience. E.g. PreSales, ordering, service changes, billing…

  • Lead cross-functional teams to program objective by establishing strong collaborative relationships and facilitating discussions that result in an aligned approach.
  • Manages highly complex programs/projects to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives: understands and champions strategy, plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing programs/projects, directs and coordinates program activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of programs/projects.
  • Understand and articulate how the components of a complex project come together to meet a deliverable, identify risks and issues as well as related mitigation strategies, and drive others to agreement and action against an integrated plan.
  • Influence stakeholders at various levels to alter methods and deliverables when needed to meet project charter, as well as articulate comprehensive explanations to Sr. leadership when projects cannot meet desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate creative problem solving across teams to resolve issues.
  • Effectively communicate program status through regular and meaningful reporting on progress to key milestone dates, risks and issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to build a plan where no existing framework exists. This position does not track against an existing standard, but will create a new plan to meet the need of each deliverable.
  • Make sound decisions based on impact to revenue and resources.
  • Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning and hold teams accountable for compliance.

This is NOT an IT or Implementation project manager. This position will engage across stakeholder teams to implement key programs, and/or process improvements. While there may be a development aspect to many of the projects, the efforts are more focused on process redesign. Release management is a secondary function after the effort is defined. The work we do is not defined / repeatable / structured.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Managed projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional Program / Project Management skills as demonstrated with six or more years of Program/Project Management experience or equivalent in areas directly tied to revenue generation.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree. Ideally, in project management.
  • Managed projects with PMI or MSP methodologies.
  • ITIL Training.
  • Certification in PMP and/or MSP.
  • Practical knowledge of PPM tools.
  • Motivated and influenced teams to deliver outcomes and results.
