Verizon is looking for a Security Consultant that will be part of a Verizon Firewall Operations (VFO) team responsible for operating a world-wide network of firewalls. In this role, you will be working in a global team that provides 24x7 supports on the customer’s firewall infrastructure. Your tasks are: be proactive in terms of operational management, change management, monitoring the firewall infrastructure and incident management, as well as installing and operating supporting tools.

  • Operate a network of 400+ Firewalls from different vendors (Checkpoint, Fortinet and Juniper technologies).
  • Providing “eyes on glass” real-time monitoring in a 24x5 environment.
  • Maintaining the VFO Knowledge Base.
  • Perform incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Establish, tune, and adhere to performance metrics.
  • Stay up to date on new features and technologies.
  • Provide proactive support to the client.
  • Plan and manage the design, implementation, and integration of systems and processes related to operational management of firewalls.
  • Participate to an on call duty rotation

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or two or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Cyber security experience.
  • Firewall experience with the following vendors: (Fortinet, Checkpoint, Juniper).
  • Professional level in French and English.

Even better if you have:

  • three or more years of analytical and problem solving skills.
  • A passion for working in a 24/7 fashion.
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Excels in ticket management, ensures that SLAs and OLAs are met

It would be nice to already have some of the following certifications

  • One of more related vendor specific engineering certifications (e.g. CCSA, … )
