What you’ll be doing...

The Smart Communities Business Development/Overlay sales Manager is primarily responsible for generating and closing Smart Communities business withinthe terriotory. He will engage with cities officials, positioning Verizon as a strategic long term partner to help them modernize/digitize the city and help solve cities key challenges. The Smart Communities Go To Market team will work closely with Verizon sales teams, as well as interface with the Verizon OneFiber team. In addition, this team will be responsible for communicating requirements, feedback, etc. to the product and marketing teams. Some key responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage and close new business opportunities for Smart Communities.
  • Identify and engage with early adopter opportunities for Smart Communities offerings.
  • Respond to broad smart city wide RFP/RFI
  • Be Smart Communities representative and interface to legal, finance and contract management
  • Drive positive customer experience and with the sales teams.

What we’re looking for...

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
Six or more years of relevant work experience
Experience in complex solutions involving IoT, SmartCities solutions, cloud SaaS offerings, security, and professional services.
Willingness to extensively travel within his/her assigned market within the U.S.
Proven experience as an external spoke-person in public conference appearance
High energy and passion

Strong technology and analytical skills.
Extensive experience of Verizon Internal interworking processes and organization.
