What you’ll be doing...

You’ll lead the architecture and development of Enterprise Ordering systems. You will be leading and facilitating meetings and discussions to elicit business, product and network requirements to define and deliver architectural solutions and prescriptive guidance. Also, you will drive the end-to-end process and solution leadership to successfully complete large impactful programs on time with well-managed scopes and costs.

  • Driving new business initiatives, modernize the existing applications to cloud-native architecture and apply appropriate architecture patterns and design principles. Additionally, you will manage the governance, relationship and performance management of vendors who are under contract to provide new development & maintenance support.
  • Establish relationships and work with managers at all levels independently.
  • Articulate the problem statement and openly bring up challenges, roadblocks and impediments, negotiate, influence and drive solutions with directors and for tactical and strategic enterprise architecture approach and business capabilities.
  • Leveraging industry trends to drive innovation and solution excellence across various functional domains within the Verizon Business Order Management Space.
  • Lead company-wide cross-functional teams, strategic initiatives for business and issue resolution
  • Review new architectures, services, and products to understand overall design, network costs, implementation issues, and operational challenge.
  • Work with Tech Managers and Vendors to understand technology roadmap and identify current and future technology requirements for enterprise order management applications.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with IBM Suite of Tools WebSphere MQ, MQ Appliance, IBM Integration Bus (IIB) & XSLTs - Routing & Transformation.
  • Experience in Information Technology as an enterprise/solutions architect role in Telecommunication.
  • Experience in Leading Teams with Service Oriented Architecture in Distributed Systems
  • Willingness to travel

Even better if you have

  • A degree.
  • Experience architecting systems with MicroServices and OAGIS Business Object Documents (BOD).
  • Experience in leading software developers, systems or process analysts.
  • Experience on Relational Database (DB2/Oracle) & AIX, LINUX.
  • Experience leading and participating in large deployment projects.
  • Experience in articulating the business drives and architectural approach/trade-offs during discussions for solution buy-in at various levels and gain consensus.
  • Demonstrated a data-driven mindset and decision making skills.
  • Experience with order management telecom domain.
  • Experienced with AI and Machine Learning.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework.
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and leadership skills
  • Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to successfully interact with and provide information to all levels of management
  • Self-motivated to achieve objectives and meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Drive strategic initiatives
