What you’ll be doing...

Verizon's Managed Security Services Provider offering is recognized by Gartner as a Leader in Managed Security Service Providers. The service uses best-in-class commercially available technology and proprietary tools to monitor and manage customer security technologies both on premise and in the cloud. As the security space continues to expand in vendors and technology with varying penetration rates, the Product Manager will be responsible for identifying strategic partners to create and promote offerings/differentiation for preferred vendors and technologies. Responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Building vision, strategy, and roadmap to tailor the Managed Security Services solution specific to preferred partners.
  • Developing a tiered solution where Verizon can support a wider range of security vendors in a cost effective manner.
  • Working closely with engineering, operations, finance, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure that projects are appropriately funded, prioritized, and delivered on time and on budget to meet revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Facilitating productive cross-portfolio and cross-functional relationships via effective and consistent communications across a global workforce and customer base.
  • Leveraging product and market knowledge to assist cross-functional groups, including Product Marketing and Sales personnel.
  • Partnering with the sales, account management, finance, and customer service teams to understand the requirements of the target customers and act as the voice of the customer internally.
  • Evangelizing the product portfolio both inside and outside the company.
  • Supporting problem escalations as required with sales and customers.
  • Managing the product development process across organizations by communicating clear direction to engineering and operations teams when defining and prioritizing features, enhancements, platform improvements, and customer requests.
  • Owning the business case process and align pricing to meet corporate goals.
  • Facilitating productive cross-portfolio and cross-functional relationships via effective and consistent communication.
  • Identifying and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Performing regular operation reviews and status updates.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Three or more years of product management leadership experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings for enterprises.
  • Experience/Knowledge with one or more of the following:
    • Cyber-Security solutions (e.g., managed Security Service, Vulnerability Research, SIEM tools).
    • Firewall, IDS/IPS, Web Content Filtering, DDoS Mitigation.
    • IT Security.
    • Endpoint Solutions / Data Loss Protection (DLP).
    • Continuous Monitoring / Patch Management.
  • Experience in management of service to SLA targets and corrective measures/escalations.
  • Experience with agile development processes and monthly or weekly product release cycles.
  • Understanding of security concerns pertaining to enterprise customers.
  • The ability to relate to customers and prospects and communicate their needs internally.
  • Security clearance or eligibility to obtain security clearance.
