What you’ll be doing...

In this position you will report into the MILDEPS Government Program Management Office in support of International Services ordered through Defensive Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO). The scope of the position will manage a cross functional team with overall Program Management responsibility for International Services ordered via Defense Information System Network Transmission (DISN) Services–Pacific II (DTS-P II), Global Network Services (GNS), Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) and other government standalone contracts. The following is included in the role

  • Own responsibility for all Verizon Programs supporting ~$100M in Annual Revenue generated by DITCO-International Services.
  • Serve as primary customer contact with the ability to meet the customer at Fort Meade, MD with as little as three (3) hours’ notice.
  • Collaborate with DITCO government and contractor administrative and technical staff.
  • Plan and distribute work assignments.
  • Develop employees through training, coaching & counseling.
  • Set objectives and manage the performance to meet the objectives.
  • Drives customer solutions.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Interfaces directly with Verizon senior leaders to properly address complex customer requests.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategic plans to mitigate the risk.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Telecom and/or IT Implementation experience.
  • Active Government Secret Clearance.

Even better if you have:

  • MBA
  • Fifteen or more years of professional experience.
  • Ten or more years of Telecom and/or IT Implementation experience.
  • Five or more years of relevant management/supervisory experience.
  • Experience following Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies.
  • Track record of circuit delivery with Area of Responsibility (AOR) to include U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM), U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), and U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).
  • A working knowledge of:
    • Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN)
    • Contractual calculations for Liquidated Damages
    • Submarine Cable Map
    • Department of Defense Encryption Methodologies
    • Circuit testing procedures
