What you’ll be doing...

The development of our people is a priority at Verizon, and you will be the one coordinating our world-class learning solutions. The work you’ll be doing will help our people learn and grow so that they can prepare our team to deliver great value to the business and our customers. Your role will be pivotal in supporting learning and development projects and activities from design through to delivery and program evaluation.

  • Coordinating and implementing learning programs.
  • Ensuring effective resourcing and on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Meeting with key stakeholders to anticipate and manage potential project challenges.
  • Monitoring project activities and adjusting course as needed.
  • Reporting project status and analyzing and summarizing key information.
  • Managing and maintaining in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Installing/rearranging network circuits.
  • Placing network, audio/visual and lab equipment.
  • Being primarily responsible for the staging, maintenance, inventory and creation of training labs/classrooms. The primary work location will be the National Conference Center (NCC), but will require travel to maintain off-site lab locations.
  • Serving as facilities and operational support for training activities.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Experience working within fiber and copper networks.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Familiarity with building construction in a commercial environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on-time results.
  • Built strong client and student relationships.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite G Suite.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Managed complex projects and/or training delivery.
  • Strong organizational skills and a focus on results.
  • An attention to detail with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Resolved challenging problems with an optimal outcome for all parties.
  • Exposure to learning management systems.
