What you’ll be doing...

As our Senior Manager - Translations you will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of translations projects, session routers/session border controllers, configuring call routing within the switches and IMS core, and providing leadership and guidance to translations engineers and network teams on call routing, call/session control protocols and testing. As a leader, you will lead in a manner that builds trust, fosters innovation and creativity, and demonstrates operational excellence. It is critical that this leader be able to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team, understand the needs of our customers, and constantly work to remove barriers on behalf of the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to the team of approximately 10 Translations Engineers.
  • Forecast projects and allocate resources to deliver on-time completion.
  • Work with HQ to prioritize and schedule new company initiatives on cost saving, new technology implementation, and process improvements.
  • Oversee the integration and deployment of new technology platforms and features without disrupting the legacy network.
  • Oversee the maintenance and implementation of network directives.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support and oversight of translations trouble tickets.
  • Work with other Network Managers to coordinate projects and collaborate as needed..
  • Asses and minimize network risk when implementing new projects and communicate to leadership.
  • Provide leadership and coordination to multiple teams in troubleshooting of network issues.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Working knowledge of VoIP, SIP, RTP, SS7, TCAP/ISUP/IS41 protocols.
  • Thorough understanding for the call routing database on CDMA switches, Session Routers, Session Border Controllers and IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of SIP signaling, VoLTE & CDMAcall flows, E911 call flows, and network virtualization.
  • Working knowledge of call routing on the following platforms/technologies: Session Router, Session Boarder Controller, Lucent OMP/ECP/5E, Ericsson MTX.
  • Understanding of IMS architecture and applications (VoLTE, VoWiFi, CSCF, TAS, ENUM, etc.).
  • Knowledge of relevant support tools (Agilent SS7, Irisview, Monitor Master, RTT, Mars, etc.) and various office automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of engineering concepts, and show aptitude and desire to lead and mentor team members.
  • Proficiency in office computer applications: Excel, Word, Visio, Access, PowerPoint, and G-suit.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
