We are looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst/Solution Architect for the Verizon Omni Voice Team. The candidate will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Lead key Omni Voice programs related to: conversational speech, in home virtual assistants, voice authentication, and intelligent routing.

  • Act as a business analyst and solution architect for key voice application programs.

  • Work with business owners, other technology teams, and vendors to plan and deliver large projects impacting voice applications.

  • Lead the effort to define the strategy, scope, benefits, impacted groups, and timelines for key voice application projects.

  • Manage the timeline, risks, issues, and overall delivery for key projects.

  • Conduct requirement reviews and document application designs.

  • Provide timely and detailed program status to senior business and technology leadership.

  • Lead the effort to define the requirements, solution, and designs for key initiatives.

  • Design, implement, test, and support applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, XML,VoiceXML, HTML, object oriented programming, UNIX/Linux operating systems.

  • Compile and analyze data, including defining baseline metrics and KPIs for large projects.

  • Create reports and provide information regarding function-specific policies.

  • Research, analysis, and document costs required to deliver new projects.

  • Communicate and work with business owners, off-shore development teams, and other key stakeholders to review project status.

  • Delegate project tasks to team members based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.

  • Track processes and activities, including project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short-term and long-term projects.

  • Track projects related to DB2 migrations, Biometrics, and Conversational IVR processes.

  • Design and implement database structure, run database queries, and provide preliminary IBM DB2 database administration and support.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
  • Experience in defining the strategy, costs, benefits, and timeline for large projects.
  • Experience in delivering large scale voice application projects.
  • Experience is delivering requirements and designs for voice application projects.
  • Experience delivering projects in an agile environment.
  • Experience acting as a scrum master and product owner in an agile environment.
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills.
  • PMP Certification.
