FP&A Corporate and Business Unit Team

Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. The Business Unit facing positions offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while growing your FP&A leadership and interpersonal skills. You are considered a business partner and your contributions will make a difference. You’ll become involved in, but not limited to, pricing decisions and new initiatives to develop new products and services. You can have an impact on new business growth opportunities through development of business case scenarios.

  • Develop, negotiate and delivery of complex non-standard contracts in accordance with Market & HQ approvals as well as assist Senior Financial Analysts on the team in the development and approval of non-standard pricing requests.
  • Manages the timeline and deliverables to ensure compliance with internal and external submission deadlines (drafting the response, crafting the financial offer, obtaining subject matter expert, finance and legal approvals) for each Contract & Proposal response assigned throughout the contract lifecycle process. The Manager should comfortably lead discussions with the executive team to help drive smart business decisions and support department heads toward achieving sales and financial goals.
  • Work with Market Finance teams, HQ Finance, and B2B Sales management to provide critical thinking in enhancing pricing strategy and processes and to assist in the development and maintenance of training mechanisms for field sales force training of contracts and proposal processes.
  • Responsible for review of comprehensive non-standard pricing offers and negotiating term revisions of these offers per customer requests from the Market Offer Development teams.
  • Assist in the development of monthly KPI reporting and business insights not found in Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Support B2B channel initiatives such as equipment pricing analysis, rate plan analysis and customer incentives.
  • Develops and prepares financial models, presenting and analyzing financial data internally; also provides detailed support for senior leadership presentations as required.
  • Teams with Channel Analysis and Financial Planning & Analysis teams as required to provide deeper level analysis of issues and concerns raised by the B2B channel
  • Strong modeling and solid database skills required.
  • Provides ad hoc analysis as required.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economicsor four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with proven focus on Excel and PowerPoint.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
  • Experience in SQL query maintenance, development and server knowledge.
  • Knowledge with Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma training.
  • A high degree of analytical capability with the demonstrated ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
  • Strong strategic skills, with the ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations; proven ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision.
  • Knowledge of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.
  • Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting and accounting practices and International Financial Reporting.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
  • Experience leading large and complex team projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
