What you’ll be doing...

Maintain large scale computer servers, network devices and network file systems. Perform installation, configuration, and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a web hosting runtime environment in private and public clouds. Maintain and improve the availability, performance, scalability and efficiency of the services by implementing monitoring, automation, redundancy, capacity planning and augmentation, and business-continuity planning. Responsible for deployment, administration and operational support of (production, staging, test and development) environments for multiple projects using customized open source tools. Work with network technologies, including TCP/IP, Domain Name Service (DNS), network Access Control List (ACL), IPv4 packet filtering, Network Address Translate (NAT), IP sets tools (ipset), and global server load balancing (GSLB). Work with UNIX operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS and FreeBSD. Use Scripting tools, including Bash, Python, and Ruby. Use software tools including Service Now incident management tool, JIRA bug tracking tool, GIT software repository revision control and Chef configuration management tool. Work with a technology that support microservices architecture such as Google Kubernetes. Work closely with Quality and Release Engineering teams to facilitate release pipelines and enable the continuous deployment. Defend infrastructure from Distributed Denial of Service attacks by implementing tools to detect and mitigate abusive and unwanted network traffic. Monitor application server performance and respond appropriately.Implement new infrastructure from specifications, configuration and deployment of applications, connecting to back-end resources, and advanced troubleshooting of new software applications. Work with software development and product management staff to determine project requirements for test/production environments. Work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications server activities. Keep current with emerging software enhancements, security patches and bug fixes. Create and update technical documentation for system software applications and infrastructure. Provides high level written communications to escalate and document production impact issues. Work with Web Server technologies, including Apache, Java Jetty, Content caching service (Akamai or Redis or Apache Traffic Server), and MySQL database. Participate in on-call rotation.

What we’re looking for...

Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 4 years of experience maintaining large scale computer servers, network devices and network file systems. 4 years of experience working with network technologies, including TCP/IP, Domain Name Service (DNS), network Access Control List (ACL), IPv4 packet filtering, Network Address Translate (NAT), IP sets tools (ipset), and global server load balancing (GSLB). 4 years of experience working with UNIX operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS and FreeBSD. 4 year of experience using Scripting tools, including Bash, Python, and Ruby. 4 years of experience using software tools including Service Now incident management tool, JIRA bug tracking tool, GIT software repository revision control and Chef configuration management tool. 4 years of experience working with Web Server technologies, including Apache, Java Jetty, Content caching service (Akamai or Redis or Apache Traffic Server), and MySQL database. Experience therein to include 1 year of experience working with any technology that supports microservices architecture.
