What you’ll be doing...

Product Development:

  • Plan: Gather marketing requirements on new product or new features and translate them into an end-to-end architecture that delivers a superior customer experience. Assess vendors, make build vs. buy recommendations.
  • Build: Be the focal point in the Software Development Life Cycle. Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Sourcing, Legal to assure Verizon’s business interests are met. Lead user acceptance testing, be the gatekeeper on product quality.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Become the product’s Subject Matter Expert. Monitor customer feedback and product metrics. Recommend changes or enhancements.
  • Project Management, leading cross functional teams to bring product to market.
  • Assist operations, developers and customer support teams to resolve escalated customer issues.

Product Strategy:

  • Participate in product/feature ideation sessions with product management and product marketing
  • Keep current on technical trends, industry standards and competitors. Make technical recommendations on architectural changes and/or enhancements that benefit the products.

End-to-end Products Testing

  • Responsible for creating end to end test plan for several product lines.
  • Lead and conduct end-to-end systems and service validation.
  • Lead troubleshooting and issue resolution internally or with vendors.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years in Technical Product Management or relevant work experience..
  • Experience with managing/designing carrier-grade mobile apps or consumer apps focused on parental controls and location.
  • Willingness to Travel.

Ideally You will also have

  • Mastersin Engineering or Computer Science or any advanced degree.
  • Eight or more years in Product Management or Technical Product Management.
  • Experience managing vendors and partners.
  • Knowledge of mobile devices, mobile operating systems (Android and iOS), wireless applications, wireless consumer trends.
  • Experience with web technologies (HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax), web servers (CGI, Apache, Microsoft IIS).
  • Knowledge of client/server and/or distributed computing architecture, router-based networks utilizing TCP/IP or OSI protocols (TCP, SSL, HTTP, LDAP, SOAP).
  • Experience with architecting call flows and presenting design decisions with cross functional teams.
  • Knowledge of wireless networks; especially LTE, 5G, Mobile Edge.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (Project Management background is a plus)
  • Strong technical (e.g. software systems design) and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.
