What you’ll be doing...

This Senior Manager position will lead a local and remote team of Managers and Senior Analysts responsible for financial oversight of inventory controls in retail locations. This team, in collaboration with the teams from the other 2 Areas, collectively offers support in troubleshooting techniques, and improves processes with the ultimate goal of making the management of assets a Verizon best practice. This position will require daily partnership with Area peers to lead and manage as a National organization.

  • Safeguard corporate assets to reduce equipment loss and improve market profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for wSAP enhancements that result in efficiencies for Retail locations/Inventory.
  • Monitor inventory supply. With an understanding of current and upcoming promotions and recent inventory issues partner with the HQ Supply Chain Management organization to ensure the proper supply is available for all channels of distribution.
  • Act as an intermediary for Retail sales channels and HQ Supply Chain issues. This requires an understanding of both sides of an issue to develop a final resolution.
  • Communicate inventory supply concerns to various levels of the organization. Provide outlook necessary for sales/marketing to make business decisions.
  • Partner with Area and HQ Marketing and Supply Chain Management to coordinate the execution of the product life cycle.
  • Provide Area reporting and analysis as required.
  • Evaluate channel practices that fall outside the control measures. Identify opportunities to improve compliance with policies and procedures. Develop action plans with timelines.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with various levels of the organization to review operational metrics. Present detailed concerns and improvement recommendations, both verbally and in writing, to middle and senior management.
  • Lead and/or participate in cross-functional and cross-Area initiatives. Represent the Area operational practices and provide input to improvements to inventory controls and business processes.
  • Understand inventory system and operational training needs within the Area and Nationally, coordinate implementation.
  • Consult with stakeholders and senior leaders on insights, trends, and data-driven solutions.
  • Manage SOX compliance measures and ensure compliance.
  • Manage workflow of Sr. Analysts to ensure Service Level Agreements and Quality expectations are met.
  • Support all Retail location inventory initiatives including Executive escalations
  • Simplify transactions and processes/policies, ensure cost/value is balanced.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience with inventory, operations or audit related fields.

Even better if you have:

  • Master Degree.
  • Two or more years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Ability to effectively interact with Area Senior Leadership and experience influencing others.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple assignments with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Suite of Google products.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of VZW POS and wSAP.
  • Experience with the Wireless industry, At Your Service and Workflow Management.
  • Knowledge of Retail Operations.
