What you’ll be doing...

The Demand Generation Manager has end-to-end responsibility for campaign strategy planning, execution, and management, as well as lead nurturing strategy and campaign metrics. In this role you will be responsible for the development and execution of demand creation programs and automated marketing campaigns to help accelerate Verizon Business Group growth in the network, communications, security, and mobility markets.

The Demand Generation Manager must be a strategic thinker, problem solver, and a well-rounded marketer with a strong customer focus. This person will be an integral member of the marketing team, helping to lead marketing's efforts to grow our presence and short and long term sales in the marketplace. They will work closely with the Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, and Sales management, as well as outside agencies and vendors.

The Demand Generation Manager must also be able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and influence others without formal authority by leveraging strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and executing demand and lead generation strategy by partnering with product marketing, field email, Marcom and Sales. Developing campaign tactics and marketing materials that effectively convey value proposition of Verizon service. This includes planning and executing on campaign delivery vehicles (social media strategy, Search Engine Optimization, email, etc).
  • Developing strategic and tactical initiatives including: campaign strategy briefs, content requirements, lead nurturing plan, marketing tactics needed to build campaign funnel, and reporting templates
  • Initiating, managing, and nurturing direct and indirect marketing programs to accelerate prospect movement through the demand generation funnel.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) through analyzing and interpreting key metrics/reports, recommending corrective action and ensuring continuous improvement and effectiveness. Reporting on the lead to opportunity conversion and key metrics and quickly adjusting course as needed.
  • Measuring, analyzing and reporting on the impact of demand generation activities on the sales cycle length.
  • Managing data for new and prospective clients in Marketo and Salesforce.com in conjunction with the marketing operations team, ensuring communications are logged, information is accurate and documents attached.
  • Deploying campaign journeys and educating the content creation strategy by providing feedback around content performance.
  • Building and cultivating relationships with Product and Sales by initiating and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales process and developing marketing programs.
  • Actively solicit input from internal groups regarding new Demand Generation and campaign plan requirements for new product launches and existing products pipeline development that includes defining project scope, roadmap, pricing, goals and deliverables.
  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of campaigns, Participate in executive meetings to provide updates on campaign roadmap and results.
  • Investigate and implement new technologies such as decision engine, services and/or vendor solutions to enhance Marketing’s capabilities by identifying and implementing requirements, conducting quality assurance testing and identifying performance issues while making suitable recommendations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in B2B demand generation strategy and campaign role or sales enablement, campaign metrics, online marketing, product marketing /project management experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree or MBA in business or marketing.
  • Seven or more years of experience in online marketing and demand generation.
  • Technology or telecom experience.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience across all marketing disciplines with thorough understanding of core principals and strategies.
  • Experience with converting B2B leads to sales and the previous use of marketing automation tools.
  • Ability to navigate, influence, manage and lead cross-functional teams without direct line supervision.
  • Knowledge of building B2B demand generation strategies and campaigns.
  • Ability to balance strategy and campaign execution.
  • Experience analyzingcampaign results and measureperformance against KPIs.
  • Experience with demand generation marketing and a strong command of marketing automation systems (Eloqua, Marketo), decision tools such KItewheel or similar as well as CRM systems (Salesforce.com).
  • Knowledge of Database Management system and quality assurance testing.
  • Familiarity with buyer’s journey, nurture tactics, personas and lead scoring.
