What you’ll be doing...

An Analyst is responsible for in-depth analysis of Point of Sale (POS) related audits. The focus is placed on ensuring Point of Sale audits are correctly and efficiently processed. Additionally, the Analyst would monitor existing Point of Sale audits for changes or anomalies and quantify risk and gaps. Based upon this analysis, they would develop strategic initiatives and processes to mitigate risks and gaps identified, increase efficiencies and/or reduce fallout throughout the business.

Point of Sale (POS) Error Correction Assurance:

  • Performing daily reviews of Point of Sale related audits.
  • Ensure assigned audits are processed in an efficient and proper manner.
  • Write and execute SQL statements and reports to identify errors between systems.
  • Monitor and validate processes that support the error correction processes.
  • Quickly identify discrepancies and training gaps within the audit process.
  • Conduct analysis and trending for Point of Sale error correction.
  • Perform research to determine root cause of variances in errors from normal volumes.

Point of Sale (POS) Error Life Cycle Development/Enhancements:

  • Analyze and identify control gaps within our Point of Sale system.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of current processes related to Point of Sale transactions.
  • Document current and future reconciliation processes.
  • Recommend viable solutions to control gaps identified.
  • Write and test SQL queries and reports to finalize and track Point of Sale errors by business channel.
  • Author necessary stories to correct system gaps in processing equipment transactions where applicable.
  • Partner with IT to determine which control processes can be automated, performing thorough testing of automated processes prior to implementation, and providing feedback to IT on design or code changes required.
  • Perform thorough testing of process improvements in testing environments as needed to ensure fixes are properly implemented.
  • Analyze data to make decisions on reconciliation fallout.
  • Monitor and validate processes that support current and future Point of Sale audits.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Marketing and Operations support organizations, Area Finance, and Network, as well as outside vendors to drive discrepancies to closure.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in a related field.
  • One or more years of related work experience.
  • Two or more years of Wireless industry experience.
  • Prior Revenue Assurance experience.
  • Experience with Oracle database tables.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse tables containing Point of Sale related information.
  • Knowledge of billing systems, including front-end Point of Sale interfaces.
  • Ability to understand stored data and create SQL statements to extract information per business need.
  • Ability to grasp business concepts as well as the technical aspects of system design and function.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various departments to solve complex issues.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, based on changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the experience and demonstrated ability to be accountable for the data produced.
  • Ability to anticipate issues based on analysis and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingnessto work flexible hours including nights and weekends, as required.
