What you’ll be doing...

The Wireline Operations Controls Center (OCC) provides provisioning, maintenance and dispatch support to the Retail, Wholesale and Enterprise business customer base and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. We provide support for every product level from plain old telephone service to Optical Carrier Systems.

This position is for a Senior Analyst -Tier 1 support that will work in the Network Operations team supporting the OCC users. This role provides 1st level operation support which includes hands-on troubleshooting, implementation of changes and defining operational processes. The Senior Analyst will quickly and accurately handle all levels of technical support communications, across multiple channels, precisely tracking all user issues via tickets. This role will be innovative and drive improvements to the application and functionality; provide on-call support for off hours and weekend on rotation basis and allow for timely resolution of user problems by triaging the issue with IT and closing the system gaps.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years relevant work experience
  • Understanding of vRepair and the functionality of the system
  • Experience with the Dispatch suite of applications (Optix/Cofee -Dispatch, vRepair, Scheduler)
  • Strong understanding of life cycle products (Plain old Telephone Service, Fios, DS0/DS1 specials, trunks, TLS, HSI etc.)
  • Solid understanding of network outage management
  • Ability to work well in a team in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Previous Tier 1 support experience.
  • Experience in the Wireline Field/ Center organizations National Staff role.
  • Information Technology System support administrator
