What you’ll be doing...

Individual contributor role performing complex responsibilities based on established guidelines, policies and technical standards. Individual is responsible for physical plant operation, performing maintenance activities, and supervising contractors to ensure 100% uptime of a Data Center environment.

  • Responsible for operation, maintenance and repairs of UPS, emergency generator, batteries, chillers and other highly technical systems in support of the electrical/mechanical infrastructure.
  • Provides functional technical assistance and education to other facilities maintenance personnel and contract labor.
  • Ability to provide 24/7/365 technical support of the Data Center by participating in shift and on-call rotating schedules.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Two or more years related experience in critical Data Center facilities operations.
  • Working knowledge of chilled water HVAC systems, electrical distribution, UPS systems and batteries, emergency generators, fire alarm and suppression systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical test equipment and their safe use.
  • Reading and understanding of all engineering drawings, such as electrical schematics, piping diagrams and structural plans.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral / written communications skills.
  • Familiarity with the budgetary processes.
  • General computer skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with use and programming Schneider Struxureware Building Operations application.
