What you’ll be doing...

The responsibility of the Senior QuickStart Lead will be to support all presales and ordering activities within the Current Platform (formerly VRD) and Legacy Platform, as it pertains to the Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) quoting, contracting, and ordering processes. The QuickStart Lead will also provide SME support on large/complex deals and for general Transactional & Project activities

Key responsibilities:

  • Focussed on large & complex deals, as the lead for quote to order activities

  • Involved in planning activities for quote & ordering as it relates to RFP & contract transactions from pre-sales into the QuickStart Team

  • Acts as SME within QuickStart Team, supporting with guidance on BAU activities

  • Review quoting and contracting data provided by sales, inclusive of VES product set including new logo, New Order, Move/Add/Change, and Amendment process.

  • Handle escalations both internal & with customers, act as Escalation POC

  • Create quote/contract/order activity within Verizon designated systems depending on the request assigned (VRD, Proposal Manager, Premisys, etc.)

  • Interface with customers to secure pricing/quote/order approval.

  • Progress opportunities through quoting, contracting, and order submission process.

  • Collect ordering data from customers and keying orders into Verizon designated systems (initiating Technical Validation (TEV), Early Site Survey (ESS), Access Optimization, Staging Event etc. as required).

  • Meet/exceed quoting, contracting, and order submission Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Interact with all lines of business as required to complete a quoting/ordering task efficiently.

  • Assist in prioritizing quoting, contracting, and order submission activities when escalations occur.

What we’re looking for...

Technical Knowledge:

  • Expert Knowledge of Networking Technologies.

  • Expert Knowledge of VES products and solutions.

  • Good knowledge of the telecom market (i.e. Carriers, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and System Integrators).

  • Expert understanding of Current Platform (VRD), Proposal Manager, Premisys, etc.

  • SME level SFDC tool & processes knowledge.

  • Excellent written and verbal Communication skills

  • Requires critical thinking in decision making process

  • Overall technical aptitude and forward thinking

  • Three years’ experience in quoting / sales area. Working equivalent quote/ordering activities

  • Business level in local language, English literate and numerate

  • Strong customer service focus with drive to deliver a world-class customer experience

  • Three years minimum demonstrable experience working in a Business to Business (B2B) / Corporate Environment

  • Understanding of Telecommunications, Network Integration and IT solutions

  • Problem management skills and strong analytical skills

  • Experience within a Project and Implementation Environment

  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Verizon systems

  • ITILv3 / 4 certified

  • Prince 2 Foundation,Agile Foundation (preferably)

  • Ability to work on own initiative & drive complex problems to solution

  • Motivated, proactive & takes responsibility

  • Willingness to travel as business requires
