What you’ll be doing...

Our wireline networks are the backbone of the services we provide and transport huge amounts of data every day. Customers expect fast and reliable service and that’s where you come in. The work you’ll be doing will help predict and prevent customer impacting events and improve network performance and most importantly our customer’s experiences.

  • Coordinating the testing and turn up of service with all involved providers until the customer’s service is up and working.
  • Maintaining new and existing circuits through troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques by closing working with local partners and global NOC's, utilizing remote test systems to isolate and resolve customer circuit outages.
  • Testing backbones and NNIs.
  • Wiring per specifications and operational procedures, both in technical facilities as well as on customer property.
  • Dispatching to customer locations for installation & maintenance of all standard & Ethernet CPE comprising of routers, switches, firewalls, WAN accelerators, etc.
  • Performing installation & maintenance of multiple circuit types, including DS0 through OC192, Ethernet & Gig-E
  • Performing analysis, recommending network reliability good practices and execute center optimization strategies.
  • Maintaining the international long distance node and completes periodic maintenance on company transmissions support equipment.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on all network transport & power equipment.
  • Working outdoors, performing in seasonal weather / changing conditions.
  • Working during off-hours, weekends and holidays as needed to meet support O&M and project requirements.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in the Telecom Network Engineering or Operation functions within the IT / Telco industries preferably with Global Services / Solution Provider experience in the Asia Pacific regions.
  • Experience with TDM and Ethernet testers.
  • Experience with PDH, SDH, Ethernet, SDN, SDWAN technologies along with Microwave local loops.
  • Knowledge of data center colocations, AC / DC Power systems etc.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Previous experience in field / in a 24x7 Network Operations Center or Strong field experience in a global enterprise environment.
  • Ability to perform complex work with emerging technology.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, under pressure and in high stress situations.
  • Ability to manage several accounts, coordinating with multinational teams and good customer facing communication skills.
  • CCNA or CCNP.
  • Strong Communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge on Voice Technologies like CUCM etc., along with WIFI implementation survey etc., is an added advantage.
