What you’ll be doing...

  • Monitoring and maintaining assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Collecting of open accounts via phone and email correspondence.
  • Notating accounts with all communications regarding collections efforts, updating contact and address information as needed.
  • Following up on all communications attempts.
  • Investigating and resolving customer queries.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with engineering, leasing agents, accounts receivables and other departments.
  • Communicating and following up with internal Verizon departments to aid in obtaining supporting documentation, billing explanations and resolution of customer billing disputes.
  • Processing pre and post billing adjustments, bill downloads, manual invoices, refunds and vendor payments.
  • Conducting investigations on payments, customer queries and address verification for accounts.
  • Performing other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the SPB department with adherence to department SLAs for all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
  • Alerting management to any possible insolvent accounts and recommending account adjustments or write offs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • Customer contact experience.
  • Collections experience.
  • Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive in resolving problems.
  • Analytical and detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to use sound judgment when making independent decisions.
  • Organized, able to prioritize tasks and have a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
  • Team oriented individual who interacts and supports peers.
