What you’ll be doing...

The TPDO Front Door team is focused on keeping Product and 5G requests aligned with Tech and Product development teams to support the overall company initiatives, further improving efficiencies and the way work gets done. This role involves designing and implementing E2E Product development process, reviewing and evaluating all new company projects/initiatives and system/program/process changes to ensure scope, date commitments, and stakeholder impacts are properly evaluated, scoped and included. Additionally, this team will handle complex issue resolution for prioritization as a whole by collaborating across the organization.

  • Managing constant change through innovation and process streamlining.
  • Analyzing and modeling business processes to create end to end work-flows and governance for innovation and new product requests to Network organization.
  • Ensuring proper evaluation of incoming Network requests through analysis, be an SME and lead efforts to stakeholder requests at various levels in the organization.
  • Planning and developing methods and procedures to standardize Front Door processes to consistently and objectively evaluate new opportunities and ongoing product delivery requests.
  • Evaluating asks from Consumer and Business Product groups and primary objectives of new projects.
  • Leading and coordinating prioritization activities, collaborating with cross functional teams.
  • Functioning as the TPDO Front Door Point of Contact for other business and technical cross functional teams.
  • Ensuring project objectives are met by monitoring and measuring project progress regularly to determine variances from the project plan, identify risks, assess and analyze, and report in a timely and consistent manner to the leadership teams.
  • Supporting cross-functional business process re-engineering teams and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Defining, launching and sustaining an integrated TPDO delivery systems (Clarity, JIRA, Confluence etc.)

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Background in Process Management in Waterfall and Agile execution.
  • Portfolio management experience in both Waterfall and Agile environments.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or Engineering.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving abilities, and decision-making skills.
  • Certified Project Manager and/or Agile Practitioner.
  • Seven years or more of proven track record in process creation, streamlining and gap analysis.
  • Three or more years of experience in Portfolio management.
  • Four or more years of experience in change initiatives and change management.
  • Three or more years’ experience in defining business needs, use cases and solution definition.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations and recommend effective solutions to drive adoption of new programs and processes.
  • Knowledge of corporate business strategy, wireline/wireless technology, market and industry trends.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate knowledge and expertise to provide insight and direction to the business.
  • Ability to interact and develop valued relationships with the most senior levels internal to Verizon.
  • Knowledge of CA PPM Clarity, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proven track record of success in driving change and leading system improvement efforts.
  • Requires strong Program Management skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Product Development and Product Management experience.
