What you’ll be doing...

This group has critical business impact for the Verizon fiber build program in addition to on-going BAU revenue backed project work. The team will have direct ownership as the initial engagement from Verizon to the land owners of buildings targeted for fiber deployment in order to secure Rights of Entry, Equipment Placement and Distribution Rights. They will receive triggers from various teams including sales, 1F planning, and wireless teams. The work performed will have direct impact on the monetization of fiber assets. They will need to be able to understand and work within the larger strategic build process and framework while also has the ability to focus on tactical problem solving. Because of the nature of the Building Access function and the individuality of every deal negotiation, as well asuse creative thinking and problem solving skills. Additional analysis of individual market factors will also be needed to provide the basis for direction to vendors and parameters of negotiations.

  • Coordination with field personnel including access engineering, wireless real estate, operations, legal and individual landlords.
  • The ability to coordinate and manage build needs and project information and complete negotiations within targeted intervals will allow the business to effectively monetize the network build by enabling costs savings and revenue opportunities.
  • Customer Advocacy interaction. Employee will be the point of contact for requesting and managing customer advocacy in order to fulfill new build based revenue orders. This will require working with engineering and sales collaboratively.
  • Complete Building Access Agreements for a Multi-Market Territory
    • Secure rights to allow for the entry of fiber into buildings, placement of equipment and distribution of services into buildings targeted by the 1F building program
    • Negotiate business and legal terms associated with Building Access agreements for buildings triggered to remove telco costs from our network as well as electronics installation for the delivery of service to potential customers.
    • Liaise with engineering and operations for requirements and project clarifications
    • Follow all processes related to legal review and lease administration
    • Triage work queue based on priorities of business
  • Escalation Building Access Point of Contact for a Multi-Market Territory
    • Receives and Manages inquiries from business stakeholders regarding process, market points of contact, completions timeframes
    • Research any escalated Building Access Agreement Issues
    • Manage any site survey escalations from field engineering staff and landlord
    • Answer questions process questions as related to build out and installation
  • Identify and Escalate Process Gaps.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of Excel.
  • Project management experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience in the telecommunications and/or technology industry.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications RE market and ability to create strategies to meet goals.
  • A professional certification (e.g. PMP).
  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills.
  • Ability to thoroughly research issues and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Strong knowledge of local network build process including standard intervals, roadblocks, requirements and process development.
  • Strong knowledge of network build equipment and standards used in typical Telecom deployments.
  • Working level knowledge of typical space and power requirements supporting Telecom builds.
  • Excellent communication skills, time management skills, organizational skills
  • Experience in contract interpretation, summarization of terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively at both the operational and strategic level.
  • Ability to lead projects and work with multi-functional work teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a high intensity production driven and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvements to evolve with changing needs.
  • Ability to understand needs and objectives of all stakeholders.
  • Extensive analytical, critical thinking, and judgment skills.
  • Ability to work independently and escalate when appropriate.
