What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all our future connectivity businesses including new products such as IoT, 5G, and future smart cities.

This project manager role is focused mainly on 5G.Network Implementation project managers help build the foundation that keeps us in front of the competition.

  • Providing end-to-end implementation of network initiatives, in particular new macro cell site and small cell deployments, and upgrades to existing sites.
  • Working with all organizations within Network, and collaborating with other business teams.
  • Using leadership qualities to effectively direct resources according to priorities, to meet challenging deployment targets, to ensure data integrity for reporting purposes, and to identify and implement improvements to how we manage large and complex projects and programs.
  • Establishing milestones and timelines, providing direction, communicating clearly across teams and functions, proactively taking action, and follow through.

What we’re looking for...

You’re an expert project manager – organized, efficient, and detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture. You can work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, even in challenging situations. You’re driven to solve problems and overcome hurdles, and you approach every situation with a can-do, team-player attitude.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in managing large cross-functional projects and programs.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Even better if you have:

  • Five or more years of experience in Wireless/Cellular/Telecom technologies.
  • Three or more years of experience in managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
  • Ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
  • Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.
  • Ability to be resilient and tenacious during tough assignments.
  • Knowledge to understand a project’s technical breadth.
  • Knowledge with a variety of network concepts, best practices, and procedures.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office.
