What you’ll be doing...

As our HR Project Manager for the Verizon Consumer Group, you’ll be leading largescale initiatives focused on ensuring delivery on our winning aspiration to be the trusted brand for consumer’s connected lives and the employer of choice.

You’ll be responsible for the successful execution of projects with broad scope and impact. You will plan, coordinate and lead the execution of activities to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe.

Additionally, you will communicate with stakeholders to inform project status and risks, as well as elevate issues, present recommendations and implement modifications to project plans. You will be required to manage multiple projects and drive execution through the full delivery lifecycle by developing business cases, tracking costs and timelines, developing and implementing communication plans, and managing project scope.

  • Ability to prioritize project work in accordance with strategy and goals.
  • Work effectively with sponsors and key stakeholders in the planning and definition of projects and drive key decisions when needed.
  • Translate concepts into an actionable plan for execution.
  • Ensure scope, budget and timelines are clearly defined, communicated, agreed upon.
  • Define success metrics, analyze issues and develop creative solutions to support resolution.
  • Lead project teams by building and maintaining strong relationships with leaders and peers including those who do not have a direct reporting relationship.
  • Operate at all levels of the organization and continuously raise the bar to drive teams to deliver high quality results.
  • Define, manage and oversee the allocation and monitoring of resources and resource utilization on projects.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel.

Even better if you have:

  • MBA or Master’s degree.
  • Six or more years of project management experience.
  • Experience in leading large-scale change projects.
  • Experience leading and working with cross functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with experience in large group settings.
  • Experience in Human Resources; this may include staffing, compensation, employee/labor relations, organizational development, training, or performance management.
  • Strong organization skills, project management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of business operations.
  • Ability to build alliances, influence others, and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to be proactive, prioritize work, and handle multiple assignments in a timely manner.
