What you’ll be doing...

Lead team to transform application testing into a true DevOps model. Provide automation development strategy and manage Large & Medium projects for Verizon Consumer mission critical applications. Collaborate with other engineering teams and provide leadership in the adoption of a continuous delivery approach and platform that is scalable, adaptable, and optimized for ever changing requirements. Create and provide documentation (i.e. how to, automation standards, DevOps practices, platform roadmaps), training to operations and other technical teams, as well as assist the delivery and operations teams during the implementation and support of customer solutions. Proactively monitor the system for any signs of weakness, build reliable systems considering future growth. Prepare, plan and incorporate modifications to address gaps. Create and manage profiling tests to exploit areas of suspect performance by implementing profiling tools. Develop Test Plans, Cases, and Scripts to support Verizon IT DevOps vision and strategy. Proactively Report and escalate issues according to project and release risks. Create and communicate test metrics and status reports and attend status meetings.

What we’re looking for...

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Computer and/or Electronic Engineering or related field followed by 5 years of progressive experience as a Test, QA and/or Automation Engineer. Experience therein to include 2 years providing automation development strategy and managing projects for Sales and Services mission critical applications; 2 years creating and providing documentation and training to operations and other technical teams, as well as assist the delivery and operations teams during the implementation; and 2 years developing test plans, cases and scripts to support devops vision and strategy.
